Christmas at the Higham House

This year just like every year we spent our Christmas vacation in Utah visiting our families. We had so many fun activities that we got to participate in over our vacation. Everyday was filled with excitement and memories. Christmas Eve was so exciting for the kids. Santa even left the kids a early package of Christmas PJs on the front porch as he was flying over the house. My kids were the only ones at the house on Christmas morning and we had so much fun focusing on them in the morning. They all took turns opening presents and were so excited to find out what new toys they were going to get. The adults enjoyed the excitement of the children as they ate doughnuts and made yummy hot chocolate. We ate a delicious Christmas brunch and enjoyed the day. The rest of the family came over for Christmas dinner and the cousins had fun playing together. I love the magic of Christmas! xoxo Lindz

Terrific Kid Assembly

In December we got to go to Abby's Elementary School and watch her receive awards at the Terrific Kid Assembly. Abby received an award from her music teacher as well as an award from her First Grade teacher. Abby's first grade class also received an award for being the most responsible class in the library this term. We are so proud of Abby for being respectful and friendly in her classes. We always knew she was a "Terrific Kid". Abby also got to meet Mr and Mrs Zeiger of whom her school was named after. So much fun! xoxo Lindz

Thanksgiving in Utah 2013

Our family drove down to Utah to visit our family for Thanksgiving this year. We were able to spend time with both families on our trip. Thanksgiving Day was filled with not one but two Thanksgiving dinners. Our first Thanksgiving dinner was spent at Darren's grandparents house in Mapleton. Grandpa Royance has spent years building this fun park for the kids to play in and they had a blast!  The second Thanksgiving dinner was spent with my (Lindsay) family in Cedar Hills. Both celebrations were wonderful with good food, and fun times with family. I love the holidays and the fun that being around family brings. xoxo Lindz

Happy Halloween 2013

We had so much fun celebrating Halloween this year. We carved pumpkins, went to a great Halloween party at the church, and went Trick or Treating with friends. The kids had a great time picking out their costumes this year. Abby couldn't decided but finally choose Princess Rapunzel, Madison was a pirate, and Jordyn dressed up as a Skeleton. We took the girls to a great neighborhood to go Trick or Treating. Madison ran like a crazy person from house to house and Jordyn had no problem getting the hang of the Trick or Treating thing. Abby is an old pro by now and let her sister ring the door bell. I love experiencing these holidays through the eyes of my children. xoxo Lindz

Madison Turns 4 Years Old...

I can't believe that my little Madison is 4 years old. This past year Madison has grown up so much! Madison has turned into a sweet , caring , and fun little girl. She has fun chasing her baby sister Jordyn around house and playing with her big sister Abby. This year we found out that Madison has Celiac Disease and it has been a big adjustment for Madison switching to Gluten Free foods. She has been such a trooper and has been so grown up about not being able to eat everything that other kids can eat. Madison has come a long way with her speech therapy this year and has enjoyed going to preschool this year. Happy Birthday Madison! xoxo Mom
