We moved to the Seattle ,Washington area a couple of weeks ago and I finally got the girls new room put together. My mom helped me get there new quilts made and my sister Kristen made the girls monogram pillows! The girls love sharing a room together! I love how the girls room turned out even though we are renting and couldn't paint or anything. xoxo Lindz

The day after Christmas my family spent the day together shopping in Park City. We went Bowling with the family that afternoon and finished off the evening eating at Tucano's in Orem. It was so much fun hanging out with everyone. SOmetimes it is just nice spending time with the family. xoxo Lindz

Since Christmas was on a Sunday this year we had the great opportunity to go to church on Christmas day. This was a great way to show our kids what Christmas is all about. Christmas evening the rest of my brothers and sister came over to have Christmas dinner as a whole family. We opened family presents and the kids dress-up and did the live nativity! It was so much fun watching my mom try to organize the little kids and show them there parts. My mom got us Chinese lanterns like on the Disney movie Tangled to fly into the sky. It is so nice to get together with family and enjoy the holidays! xoxo Lindz

Christmas Morning with the Higham Family

We spent Christmas this year in Utah. My girls were the only "kids" that would be there on Christmas morning and they didn't wake up until 8am so we had a late start to Christmas. The girls had so much fun opening presents from Santa. Courtney and Adam, My parents, Brooke, and Andy were also there to open presents with us. Madison had so much fun tearing all the paper off the presents and then wanted to play with each toy. I had to help Abby pace her present opening so it would last longer than 10 minutes. Christmas is getting to be so much fun with our cute little girls. They are both getting old enough to enjoy it. xoxo Lindz

The Gonzales Family Annual Sleep Under the Tree party was held this year on December 23rd. We had so much fun playing games and eating some yummy food. They kids had a blast opening new pj's and having a big sleepover with the cousins under the Christmas tree. We opened presents from Grandpa and Grandma in the morning. Halloween was so much fun with the girls this year! We had a blast at the ward Trunk or Treat on Saturday Night. Madison got the hang of the candy thing pretty quick. On Monday Abby had a party at Preschool and dance class and then we went out on the town trick or treating! They girls had so much fun looking going door to door and picking out their treats. When they got home they had fun looking at their loot! Madison opened all the suckers a gave them just one lick and then handed them to me! Madzilla Turns Two Years Old....

I can't believe that our little Madison (Madzilla) is already two years old! Time has gone so fast and our baby has transformed into a little girl! Madison is one of those kids that is always on the go go go! She loves to climb, play with sister, and especially do anything that she knows will get attention from mommy! ( good or bad) Madison loves to play with our dog princess and tries to ride her. Princess usually just sits down so it never really works out. Madison loves to play in the play kitchen, hold her baby dolls, jump on the couch, and play at the park. She is such a sweet little girl and if you are lucky she will be in the mood to give you loves! xoxo Lindz

Madison is in a BIG GIRL BED! My sweet little monster has been climbing out of her bed lately and it was getting to the point that she was going to hurt herself while doing it. We finally decided that it was time to convert her crib into a bed. She LOVED it! Now she loves to be in her bed since we took all the fun out of climbing out! Such smart parents! For family night in July we went up in the hills to go target shooting. Abby had so much fun shooting the BB Gun with her daddy. It made me a little nervous and at one point Darren got really close to being shot by Abby when he walked away while she was still holding the gun. The BB Gun wouldn't have done much damage and might have been a tad bit funny! Gun safety HELLO! It was fun to get outside and enjoy the weather. xoxo Lindz

Fourth of July 2011

This year we spent the Fourth of July in Utah with both Darren's and my family. We had so many fun activities to do. We spent Saturday at the Freedom Festival in Provo with my family and then went to the Stadium of Fire. On Monday the 4th we had a swimming party and BBQ with Darren's Family in Mapleton. It was so good to see everyone and to celebrate our countries Independence together. ( Oh p.s Just chopped all my hair off right before the fourth .)

This Fourth of July I went with my mom, Courtney , and our friend Christy to the Stadium of Fire! We had so much fun this year and loved it a lot more than I did last year. We were able to see David Archeletta, and Brad Paisley in Concert! It was Awesome! We had so much fun ( and maybe a little too much fun! ) enjoying the festivities. We went to Hogle zoo this year with our friends Danielle and Taggart Rieske, Grandma Rose, and Aunt Court. I love the zoo and the kids always think that it is so great to see all the animals up close. This year they had dinosaurs all over the zoo so that was really fun twist to see at the zoo. xoxo Lindz

Our Trip to New Mexico

This year we went to visit my parents in New Mexico in June. It was so nice and really warm compared to the 60 degree weather in Idaho. Darren stayed for a week and the girls and I stayed for two weeks. We had so much fun playing in the water, going to the park, running through the sprinklers, going to the movies, Abby learned how to shoot a .22 with Daddy ( above picture) and just relaxing. I was able to get a bunch of projects finished up as well as piece a new quilt together. So much fun wrapped up in just two short weeks! ( WARNING: lots of really cute pictures ahead!) xoxo Lindz

This year was the first year in the four years that we have lived in Idaho Falls that we actually stayed home for Easter. It was so much fun to celebrate Easter with just are little family. The girls were so much fun. We found little chocolate eggs that the Easter Bunny had left all over our house. The girls had so much fun looking in their Easter basket ( or madison tearing her's apart!) After church we had an Easter egg hunt in the front yard. I think the kids had enough candy to last them a year. xoxo Lindz

We had so much fun with Grandma rose when she came to visit us during her Spring Break in March. It was fun to spend the week with grandma and show her what we do. Abby was able to show her were she goes to Preschool, We went and played at the toys in the mall, we went shopping ( a lot), and we celebrated Aunt Brookie's 21st Birthday! The girls were sad to have Grandma go because then it was just them and mommy which is not as fun! xoxo Lindz

Abby and I had so much fun at Disney on Ice in November that we decided to go again in March.
We had so much fun watching the character dance around. We were able to see all the Disney Princess', a bunch of the Disney villain, Jack the Pumpkin King, Toy story Characters, and of course Mickey and Minnie with all of their friends! Abby is so much fun to watch! She claps really loud at the end of each scene! She looks especially cute in her little Princess Dress. If you haven't taken your kids to Disney on ice i highly recommend it!. xoxo Lindz

New Hair Cuts for 2011

For 2011 I decided to give the girls hair a little spruce! My wonderful friend Colette always does a great job on the girls hair. Abby's hair is finally growing out from the "Scissor incident of 2010!" Madison is getting so big and was in need of a big girl hair cut! It takes all the energy I can find to keep Madison in the chair long enough to get her hair cut! The girls are growing up so fast! Love them! xoxo Lindz

It was so great to be able to spend Christmas this year in Cedar hills with my whole family! It was great for our kids to be able to spend time with cousins that they do not see very often. Madison turned one year old on October 22. I can not believe that my sweet little baby girl is ONE! Where did the time go! Madison is such a sweet little spirit in our home. She loves to follow our dog Princess around the house and tries to get her tail! Princess is easier to play with then big sister Abby who is not really into sister at the moment! Madison loves to eat "real" food. Her favorites right now are Lunchables, Hot dogs, bread, and rice! Madison started walking around like crazy at 11 months and since then Mommies life has gotten complicated! Madison loves to play with her toys and thinks balloons are the greatest thing ever. She likes it best when sister is taking a nap and she can play with whatever toy she wants without fear of retaliation!

We had a great time celebrating Madison's birthday at our house on the 22nd and again with Family on the 23rd in Utah! (note we were also going to do our Gonzales family halloween party so that is why Abby has purple hair!) xoxo Lindz

We had a blast going to the Freedom Festival in Provo,UT, Lighting fireworks with Abby ( she loves the "Sprinkles" aka the Sparklers,) and we had so much fun going to the Stadium of Fire to see Carrie Underwood with my sister Courtney and her husband Adam. We have been so busy this year that the first half flew right by! Our girls are growing up so fast and always changing and learning new things. Madison is now 7 months old. She loves to play with toys and always has to be busy. She just learned how to crawl, so unfortunately the baby gate needs to go back up! Abby is Three and she is a SASSY little three year old! She loves to help mommy with sister but does not like to share her toys!I am having a great time for the most part being a mom to my beautiful little girls! Darren is out of school for the summer so that means that I have a little more help around the house and the kids have another adult to play with them.
We had so much fun last weekend going to Utah and getting our family pictures taken at the Old Lehi Train Station. My friend Danielle took them for us and she did and awesome job! We also took the opportunity to get Abby's three year pictures taken and Madison's seven month pictures taken so it was a great time to document our family! Enjoy!

Hi guys I am Madison and I turned 6 months old today. I weigh 13lb and 8 oz and I am 25 1/4 inches long. I love to roll and roll and roll until I get stuck and then I call for my mom! I found my toes and love to stick them in my mouth! I actually like to stick everything I can reach in my mouth. I love to play with my toys and I love it when people talk to me! Easter Weekend

We spent Easter Weekend in Utah with Darren's Family. Abby had so much fun finding Easter Eggs at the Easter Egg Hunt. She loves to put her toys in purses and buckets and carry them around so this was just up her alley.She was so excited for the Easter bunny that she went upstairs and opened her basket without us! Madison loved the toys she got for Easter but other then that she really didn't know what was going on! It was fun to spend time with family and friends this weekend, celebrate Easter, and watch Conference!

Madison was four months on February 22, 2010, so I am a little late posting this but better late than never! Madison is a joy in our family! She is a great baby and loves to just hang out. Christmas morning with the Higham Family is always a fun and exciting experience! We always wake up at 7 am to open "SANTA" presents, eat breakfast, and then open "FAMILY" presents. It was so fun to have Christmas in this cute little house in Fountain Green. I finally got my Easy Bake Oven that I have been asking for since I was like 10 years old. I think Santa finally got the hint! Abby and Madison got the usual toys, clothes, and games. Darren got some clothes, ipod dock, and bluerays/dvds. I always love spending the holiday with my family even if we drive each other nuts!

Christmas Eve was spent with the Higham family this year. My parents rented a cute little house in Fountain Green Utah to celebrate the holiday in Sanpete County. The Grandkids all opened new pjs from Grandma. We song Christmas songs, had a devotional, and put out cookies for Santa!

On Sunday we had an early Christmas opening a couple of presents to big to take down to Utah for the big day! This year we bought Abby this adorable kitchen set so we told her that santa dropped it off a little bit early. My parents bought Darren a surround sound with Blue ray player when they were here for Thanksgiving so he opened his present with Abby. It was so fun to see Abby's reaction to the big presents. She was talking about "SANTA HO HO" the whole day!

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at our house in Idaho Falls. Everyone except my brothers were able to make it. We had a lot of fun going Black Friday shopping starting at 3am and playing on the Wii! It was great to have the family here to spend time together!

Halloween this year came just a week after I had Madison. My Mom and sister Courtney came to visit and take Abby Trick or Treating! Madison Rose Gonzales

Madison Rose Gonzales was born on Thursday October 22, 2009 @ 12:20 A.M. in the Mountain View Hospital. She was in such a hurry to get here that I was only in labor for 7 hours before she was born.Compaired to Abby the was lightening speed! My sister Kristen and her boys had come to my house on Wednesday afternoon to hang out for the weekend before I had my baby.(I was not due until the 30th!) I was at a hair appointment a couple hours after they got here and bam I went into labor!(at least I had cute hair!) It worked out great since Abby didn't even need to leave the house to find a babysitter! We came home in the afternoon on Friday and had a whole houseful to welcome us home.It was great for Abby to have some kids to distract her from the new intruder! Now she is well aware and not happy about it! So I really don't have any wonderfully exciting pictures to post so I guess I will post some pictures of our projects we have been working on lately. We have been busy getting ready for our new little one to arrive. Only 3 1/2 weeks left to go! I have really been into the "Nesting" phase lately. I am driving myself crazy trying to get my projects done before the baby arrives. Abby has been really cute lately playing with her Cabbage Patch Dolls. She calls them "BABY SISTER!" It is adorable! I had a little break from the family this weekend when Darren took Abby to Utah for Conference weekend and I stayed home. He FINALLY finished his moms bed that he has been working on for almost a year. Darren has been busy working full-time and going to school at night. Abby has been in love with showers lately so when she was outside and the sprinklers came on she had no problem jumping right in! It took her about five minutes to be completely soaked! When she realized she was all wet she just stood in the middle of the grass yelling I am all wet wanting one of us to go and get her. Finally she came back to the driveway shivering! If I would have known she was going to run through the sprinklers I would have gotten the soap and shampoo!

Abby and I went with my mom, sister Brooke and sister Courtney to Hogle zoo last week. Abby had so much fun looking at all of animals and even had to go back for a second look at the Monkeys! She would grab my camera and tell me to "take a picture mommy!" I think her favorite part was the train ride around the zoo. Lake Powell

We went to Lake Powell this year at the end of July for family vacation. It was beautiful weather and the water was up about 20 ft from two years ago when we went. We had so much fun with Darren's family. Abby had fun playing in the water with her cousins and riding on the wave runners with daddy. She had some problems figuring out how to work the life jacket so she just held on to Daddy when it got to deep! Darren even convinced Abby to go off the house boat slide three times! Darren had a little to much fun on the wave runners and has a few big bruises to show for it! It was so nice to relax on the water!

4th of July

For the Fourth of July this year we had Darren's family come up to visit. On Friday we went boating at Ririe Res. Abby had so much fun going on the Wave Runners with her dad even if he did smack he head into the handlebars a couple of times. She learned to swim by herself with floaties while we were there. It was so much fun to watch her swim around. On The 4th we went to the park and then to the Idaho Falls Firework show . It was a great show and did not disappoint the Gonzales family! Abby had a lot of fun with the sparklers and watching the big fireworks. She covered her ears with my hands a couple of time when the fireworks got to loud! Trip to New Mexico

So I did manage to finally update my blog with my latest pictures! Abby and I had so much fun visiting my parents in New Mexico. We usually only go to visit like once a year but this year we were lucky enough to get to go twice! The first pictures are the ones we got taken for Darren for Fathers Day! It was fun to get our pictures taken together! Abby's cheeks are all red because it was like 100 degrees while we were getting them done! The rest are pictures of her swimming in the pool. We went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and found out that our little peanut is going to be another girl!! I was so excited! I now have less to prepare for since we have already gone down that road once before! I think Darren was secretly hoping for a boy but like we are trying to teach Abby.... You get what you get and you don't throw a fit!!! Anyway, we are so excited to get a new little member in our family. It become more and more real the more my somache grows and the baby kicks me!
In other news, Abby and I just got back from a two week vacation to New Mexico to see my parents for the summer!My sister Kristen went with her kids also so Abby had a couple of weeks to try to learn how to play with her cousins! I will get some pictures posted this week of our fun time in the sun! ( I am trying to update my blog more often! We will see how the summer goes!)

One of our neighbors gave us an old swing set that they used like 20 years ago with their kids. Abby loves to swing but we were to cheap to by her a new swing set. With a little bit of spray paint and some new swings we transformered this ugly little swing set into a cute updated swing set! Abby loves the swing set an has a fit everytime she has to go inside! ( don't look to close at the backyard. It isn't landscaped yet!)

St. George trip

Last weekend Darren and I went to St. George with my sister Courtney and her Husband Adam for Darrens Birthday. We were lucky enough to ditch Abby at Darrens Parents so we could enjoy a nice weekend getaway! It was so much fun to hang out and be a grown up! No trip down south would be complete without a trip to Beaver for Squeeky Cheese!!
We went out to eat in St. George at the Outback Steak House. The food was great but we had the worst server ever! Little did I know that almost everwhere we ate on our trip we would totally be ignored! I am thinking of moving to St. George to be a server consultant!!!!!
